PairLume Courses and Books: How the Library Works

What the PairLume library contains, how free and paid titles differ, what you keep after buying, and how course progress works for couples.

The [library](/library) is the self paced side of PairLume: work you can do on a Tuesday night without booking anybody's time.

Courses

Courses are structured into weeks, each with reading, an exercise and a conversation to have with your partner. Topics cover communication, conflict repair, attachment patterns, intimacy, rebuilding trust after a betrayal, and preparing for marriage.

They are written by wellness professionals and reviewed before publication, so the exercises match the framework they claim to come from rather than being generic advice with a new label.

Progress saves as you go. Come back in three weeks and you land where you stopped. Partners can work through the same course at their own pace and meet on the conversation step, which in practice works better than trying to read in sync.

Free previews let you see the structure and the first material before paying. Buying a course is a one time purchase.

Books

The book library is a mix of free titles and paid titles. Free titles are readable immediately from your account. Paid titles are yours after purchase and stay in your library, readable on any device you sign in on. Reviews on each title come from people who bought it here.

Note for iPhone users: Apple's rules restrict selling digital content outside their in app purchase system, so some purchase buttons behave differently or are hidden in the iOS app. The web version has the full catalogue.

Which to start with

If the same argument keeps repeating, start with a communication or conflict course rather than a book. If you want a shared vocabulary fast, a book you both read is cheaper and quicker. If something specific happened, betrayal or a big loss, use the course built for it rather than general material.

How the library fits with sessions

The pattern that works: a course gives you the concept, a guided session gives you the practice with your actual partner and your actual argument, and a booking with a professional gives you a person to check the plan with when you are stuck. None of the three replaces the other two.

Requests

If there is a topic missing, tell us. The catalogue is built out from what people ask for, and requests from readers move faster than our own list.
