Reporting and Appeals in PairLume Community

Both buttons live one tap away. Here is what actually happens after you press them.

When you report a post, a moderator sees it within a few hours during the day and by the next morning at night. Your identity is not shown to the person you reported. You will get a notification when a decision is made, whether we removed the post, warned the author, or left it up.

When you appeal a removal, a moderator who did not make the original decision reviews it. If they agree with you, the post is restored, any lost karma is refunded, and any temporary restriction on your account is lifted. If they agree with the original decision, they will send you a short note explaining why.

Repeated bad faith reports slow down the queue for real ones, so we track them. If you report the same person over and over without valid reasons, your reports start to weigh less and eventually stop counting.

If you believe a moderator behaved badly rather than made a mistake, use the contact form in Settings. Those messages come to the PairLume team directly, not to the Room moderators.
