Hashtags and Flairs in PairLume Community

Three hashtags and one flair, used well, will pull the right readers into your post.

Every post in PairLume Community supports up to three hashtags and one Room flair. Flairs are the coloured labels set by each Room, like Advice, Vent, or Update. Hashtags are free text you add yourself.

Flair first. Pick the flair that matches your intent. If your Room has a Vent flair and you are venting, use it. Readers who only want to give support will find you. Readers who only want debates will scroll past. Both outcomes are good.

Hashtags next. Use them to describe the specifics that a flair cannot. A post in the long distance Room might use hashtags for the countries involved, the length of the relationship, or the specific worry, like time zones or visa timelines.

Do not stuff hashtags. Three is a hard limit and two is often enough. Avoid generic tags like love or relationships, they add nothing. Avoid hashtags that name a real person or place that could identify you.
