What Room Admins Do in PairLume Community

What it actually looks like to run a room in Community. Less power, more small favors.

Being a room admin is not a title. It is a short list of chores you agreed to do because you cared about the room. Most days it takes about ten minutes.

The mod queue is where new posts sit if your room requires approval before they go public. You skim them, approve the ones that fit, and remove the ones that do not, usually with a short note so the author is not left guessing.

You will also get the occasional report. Someone flags a comment, and you decide whether it crosses a line the room agreed on. The rules you wrote when you created the room are your reference, which is why writing them clearly on day one matters.


The rest is small stuff. Fixing a mistyped tag, pinning a good weekly thread, welcoming a new member who is clearly nervous. None of it looks impressive from the outside, and all of it is what makes a room feel like a room.
